Retail Therapy

Who says consignment can't be fashionable?

Here are a few shots of the evening. I have to admit, I was quite nervous about walking down a runway and showcasing clothing for the event, but one of my favourite things to do is face fears and challenge myself. I am a strong believer that women of all shapes and sizes are beautiful. When Katie, owner of the Clothing Bar approached me about walking the runway, despite never seeing myself as someone who would fit in on a runway ... I decided to go for it! And guess what? I felt beautiful while doing it.

What's even better is that I knew that this event was an important cause. For each ticket purchased, a direct donation was made to Juno House, a local Calgary effort specializing in adolescent girls and young women’s mental health.

I was also really excited to spread the message that local and consignment fashion is stunning, unique, and on trend! Apart from the Clothing Bar, other amazing retailers who were part of the event included: Muladhara Yoga Wear Selcouth Studios Adorn Infusions Esme Beauty Bar Lotus Effect Designs Recover Me Tea Red Paper Boutique Natura Soylights

So here's to supporting local, ethical fashion, girls and women's mental health and having fun while you are at it!
